A heating rod is recommended by professionals for cakes larger than 9″ in diameter or 3″ and 4″ deep to evenly-distribute heat conduction to the center of the cake. Use one or more heating rods to improve baking results for deep, large, and novelty-shaped cakes. Safe for bread, pastries, savory foods, and more.
