Oh so yummy Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Serving: 24 cookies (or 12, if you're anything like me and sneak dough as you go 😉)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) of unsalted butter, softened 
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar 
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed 
  • 1 tsp vanilla  (I use LorAnn Vanilla Bean Paste)
  • 2 large eggs 
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour 
  • 1 tsp baking soda 
  • ½ tsp salt 
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). 

  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, and brown sugar until it’s smooth, & fluffy. 

  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla.

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. This trio is like the foundation of your perfect cookie. Slowly mix it into the wet ingredients until everything is well-combined.

  5. Now for the magic moment—fold in the chocolate chips. Let them scatter like little pieces of joy throughout your dough. 💖

  6. Scoop out rounded spoonfuls of dough and place them on an ungreased baking sheet. I like them a little on the chunky side for that thick, gooey center.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are a golden brown, but the center is still soft. (Trust me, this is what gives you that melt-in-your-mouth effect.)
